Step 2… Personality

In a sea full of DJs, how do you narrow down your search to the perfect entertainer??? First, experience. Second, personality! I can’t think of a better way in determining the perfect fit. Lets face it, only you can decide who is right for you. What makes personality key in selecting your entertainment is that it can’t be replicated. You are doing yourself a disservice if you do not set up a time to talk with a variety of professionals. Every sales representative will have his or her “favorite” DJ. However, to be fair, your perception may be different. Only by meeting with different entertainers will you be able to make a fair judgement as to who is perfect for you. Don’t just settle on someone else’s choice. Make the decision for yourself.

At Bob Raina’s Disc Jockey Service I say that my services provide “A creative and innovative presentation for a truly original bride and groom.” I am aware of the fact that no two couples are the same. As a professional entertainer, I need to adjust my presentation for each performance. On paper, every DJ company looks the same. We all have our tag lines “Making Memories… Number 1 Rated…” We all have pictures of a crowded dance floor. But what really makes a party great is the person behind the microphone. A great DJ will adapt to the individual tastes of each client and their past experiences will allow them to excel in their performance.

I want to emphasize once again, that the person behind the microphone is what really makes a great party. Personality is unique, and no two entertainers are the same. No up-lighting, photo booth or family/friend/financial discount will compensate for an inexperienced, dull DJ personality. Only after experiencing the horrors of a bad wedding reception do I get clients that finally understand and appreciate the importance of a great, experienced, professional disc jockey.

A great personality is key in selecting your entertainment, but remember, there are 3 steps in hiring a professional DJ. An exceptional disc jockey will exhibit all of these traits.
